Time flies when you’re having fun, as they say! And have fun I did! March was full of trying new things, from mixing soft grunge with dark academia to sexy dark feminine vibes to even a pinch of y2k!
I wore casual soft grunge outfits, but I also leaned into date night outfits as well as work looks appropriate for the office! It’s spring, which means we might not need as many layers now. But trust me, the layers are here to stay!
Check out this recap of everything I wore in March!

1. Sultry Dark Feminine (And 2 Skirts in One!)

I was so excited about this look because I felt it was so original! I took a basic Target maxi dress I had laying around which wasn’t super flattering, and turned it into the sexiest date night outfit a grunge girl could ask for! Moral of the story? Get yourself a waist belt!
2. The Easiest Soft Grunge Fit

What I love about this outfit is that it’s a repeatable outfit formula. Add a tank or other cute top over a button-down shirt, plus pants and boots and you’ve got yourself a cute soft grunge fit! It’s easy to put together and repeat with different pieces of clothing! Read more about this look here.
3. Dark Academia x Soft Grunge

Lately, I’ve leaned more into this cross because I just love the vibes. Dark academia is a subgenre I love nearly as much as soft grunge, so it just makes sense! Both has a darker undertone and gives off a less conventional vibe. Get more outfit details here!
4. The Perfect Soft Grunge Fit for Spring

Spring means it can be hot or cold, or even both at the same time! That’s why layers are so important, or dressing like it’s two different seasons. On the bottom, we have summer and on the top we have winter! Aka a spring outfit. And yes, I do find this and myself amusing! Learn more about dressing for spring here.
5. The Cutest Office Look

I can’t get enough of this one! It’s ultra cute and polished yet still edgy enough for your comfort. AND it’s work appropriate! I believe in looking professional yet still having personality in my wardrobe, and this outfit check s all the boxes!
6. An Alt Girl’s Dream for Date Night

I had so much fun putting this together. And it’s all in the layers! I put a t-shirt dress over a lace long-sleeve top and a pleated skirt and cinched it all together with a belt. The look is giving chef’s kiss, and trust me, I’ll be coming back to this one.
7. It’s Giving Edgy & Romantic

Blending something edgy with something romantic is the creme de la creme of my outfits! I just love it! We’ve got edgy, soft grunge vibes on top with a band t-shirt and romantic, flowy skirt vibes on the bottom. And together, it just works!
8. Get a New Skirt by Buying Nothing

You don’t have to buy anything to create a skirt that’s new! The trick? Add a skirt you already own over a pair of jean shorts and you’ve got an edgier skirt that looks like it’s a new piece of clothing! You could recreate this in so many ways, so go crazy!
9. Soft Spring Dress Turned Edgy

Spring is all about cute floral spring dresses! That is, unless you’re a grunge/alt baddie! Don’t get me wrong, I love a cute dress, but sometimes they’re TOO cute and it doesn’t feel like me. Adding little bits of edginess can go a long way, like combat boots, belts, and layers!
10. Two Layered Button-Down Shirts

Did you know you could just layer the same thing on top of each other and it’d be such a cool fit?? If you didn’t, you do now! I thought this was such a cool concept, so I HAD to blog about it. Check out the full deets here!
11. Casual Soft Grunge At Its Finest

Sometimes the cutest fits are the simplest. This look is just a rockin’ pair of jeans, boots, and a corset-style top layered over a lace long-sleeve. It’s simple yet giving the MOST! It’s definitely become a favorite of mine, and if you feel the same way, head over to this post!
12. An Unconventional Pop of Color

This look was a bit of a wild card, but I went for it anyway! It’s giving soft grunge mixed with Y2K. Because this outfit was all neutral, I really wanted to give it some color, which is why I took a scarf and turned it into a belt! It really made all the difference IMO.
13. An Original Office Outfit

I’m screaming and crying at how cool this outfit turned out! This outfit feels so original because I took a button down and layered it over a cheer top. But the button-down is layered in a new way that operates like it’s own blouse! It’s suitable for the office, chic, and just a touch edgy! Everything a grunge girl needs!
