Wear Your Summer Tops in a New Way This Winter

Having access to your whole wardrobe year-round is an absolute game-changer in the style game! While clothes marketed and made specifically for cold weather are essential, that doesn’t mean you have to limit yourself to ONLY winter clothes.

Summer tops are just the cutest. This seasonal fashion reflects how we often feel that time of the year–carefree, happy, and having fun. Winter might not elicit those feelings per se, but why not bring in some of that to the darker and more muted colors of winter?

While the summer top I’m wearing in this outfit is black, it is a summer top! This cami is one of my favorite tops to wear in the summer and I just feel so good in it. I’ve been a bit sad I haven’t been able to wear it, so I added my signature cropped turtleneck underneath!

A light sweater such as this will allow you to layer all kinds of tops and pieces without sacrificing style or warmth! In this case, I kept my look on the darker side by adding a black denim skirt over fleece leggings. I did, however, spice things up with a newsboy style knit hat.

In essence? Wearing your summer tops in a new way this winter means experimenting with layering your tops! Don’t be afraid to try layering it over long sleeve shirts, dress shirts, and even dresses with long sleeves. You never know what you can create by mixing winter and summer tops together!
