Layers are a grunge girl’s bread and butter, but doubling your skirts?! It’s a look I never knew I needed or would try and LOVE. Plus, we’re not talking a mini skirt and a midi or maxi, we’re talking about two mini skirts!
Doubling two mini skirts just WORKS and here’s why.
They’re very different skirts but they very much compliment each other. The first one is a burgundy faux leather skirt that is rich in color and more form fitting. The second is a plaid mini skirt that’s flared out a bit.
Adding the burgundy skirt underneath gives this dark academia look a bit more dimension to it. It’s just enough peeking out from underneath to make it a bit more interesting that it would with just one of the skirt options. The burgundy at the bottom also ties together the look with the burgundy top.
Overall this look is everything a dark academia and soft grunge look should be. It’s academic and dark yet still edgy enough for the grunge girl.
It’s giving me life right now and is the perfect outfit to keep you going while we wait for winter to give way to spring! Would you try doubling your skirt game?
