To me, spicing up your wardrobe means taking a basic articles of clothing and transforming them into a whole new outfit. This often means taking summer basics in neutral colors, and adding dimension in some way.
This basic black maxi dress is one such option. It’s a neutral color and it’s a dress I’d typically wear in the summer. I added some spice to this dress by layering a brown mesh top underneath. It gives it a completely new and interesting look, with the color and pattern. Plus, it makes the outfit slightly warmer now that we’re in the colder months of the year!
Layering is such a staple during the colder months, and you’d be surprised how you can transform certain pieces in your wardrobe! All it takes is a little time and imagination, and maybe, some inspiration, too!
