I’m all about leaning into a dark feminine look, and there’s no better way to do so than to wear all black! Black has a superpower that most other colors just don’t have, but hey, I may be just a tad biased. Dark feminine energy screams sexy and sultry, so how’s a girl to do that without wearing black? It can be done, but an all-black look is just top-tier!
When I put this outfit together, I wasn’t quite sure what I was going for. But once I started adding different pieces it really came together. I love the use of the waist belt because it really gives shape to the top portion of the outfit. And the slit? 10/10! I’m a sucker for a dress or skirt with a slit, and to top it off with knee-high boots really brought the outfit home!
What I’m Wearing
Oversize Black T-Shirt: A black t-shirt is a item of clothing that a grunge girl needs in her wardrobe. It’s easily dressed down with ripped denim or elevated with a skirt or dress, like the one here. You just can’t go wrong with an oversized one, either! I bought this black t-shirt from Cider, however it’s nearly sold out. I’ve linked some other styles here.
Black Waist Belt: I love a baggy fit but sometimes you just need something to cinch the waist. Enter the waist or corset belt! I love how it looks in this outfit, and also it’s a great accessory to have when an outfit needs something just a little bit extra. I thrifted this particular waist belt, but I’ve got some others linked!
Black Bodycon Dress: A simple black dress, especially with a nice slit, is the foundation for many potential great outfits. I would consider this to be a must-have item for your wardrobe, because you can so easily dress a long bodycon dress like this in many different ways. You essentially have a skirt and a dress all in one! I’ve linked some great dresses here, as the one I’m wearing was thrifted.
Black Knee-High Boots: Every woman needs a pair of great knee-high boots, no ifs, ands, or buts! And boots in the fall is akin to pumpkin in the fall-you can’t do one without the other. The boots I’m wearing are 10/10 boots from Steve Madden (wide calf). I’m in love with them, but I’ve linked a couple other options as well.
