I love how trends come and go, but also how trends and styles change over time. For example, modern grunge is different than how it originated in the ’90s in the Pacific Northwest. It’s grown and evolved in many different ways! This look is a nod to grunge, but blends it with a modern Y2K edge. We’ve got the edgy vibes of the crop crop and snake tights with the school-girl pleated skirt and high-knee boots.
There’s nothing more fun than taking different styles and throwing them all together. It’s why I love grunge, because it’s rebellious and that’s what makes styling an outfit so unique to the individual (and also so much fun)!
Teal Pleated Skort: This is one of my favorite skorts, and for good reason. First of all, you’d never know it was a skort. And secondly, it’s just the cutest and very flattering on. Plus, teal is a beautiful color and when you’re wearing neutrals, it can be just the pop of color that an outfit like this needed. I found this skort at a local store called Dry Goods, but worry not, I’ve linked others!
Knee-High Tall Black Boots: I LOVE these boots. I had my eye on these boots for more than a year because I bought them from Steve Madden. And let me tell you, 100% worth it. They are a vibe and they’re so comfortable! You can find this exact boot here. There’s also a wide-leg option, which is the one I purchased!
Snake Tights: Yes, you absolutely need a pair. Do I need to say more? So cute. So edgy. They’re the perfect addition to an outfit that needs just a touch of edginess! I snagged these from Amazon, so you can find them here.
White Mock Neck Crop Top: I’m a girl who loves her crop tops, so having classic colors like white and black are a must! I love this one because I can wear it with pretty much anything, and it can be edgier with a black bralette on top or underneath, like in this outfit. This white crop top is from ASOS, but I’ve saved a couple similar ones here!
