I am of the opinion, that dark academia is the ultimate fall aesthetic! We love the dark and sultry vibes year round, but dark academia in the fall? That’s what dreams are made of.
I wore a similar outfit this summer, only I added the white button-down and traded knee-high boots for knee-high tights and chunky loafers. This just goes to show, you can truly wear most items of clothing year-round, with a little imagination and creativity!

Cherry Red Top: This top is so cute and flattering, plus it’s super soft! I thrifted this top, but you can find this exact one from Princess Polly.
White Long-Sleeve Button-Down Shirt: I just thrifted this shirt and I’m in love! This is a great slim shirt that you can wear over or under so many pieces! The one I’m wearing is from Uniqlo. Technically it’s a men’s shirt but no one’s gonna know??
Burgundy Faux Leather Skort: One of my faves and also thrifted! I’m a sucker for a skort because I feel so much more comfortable. It is a pricey skirt by Amanda Uprichard, but if you’re looking for the exact piece you can find it at Revolve. I linked a couple of alternatives as well!
Platform/Chunky Loafers: Lord knows I love a chunky or platform shoe! And loafers?? Obsessed. The ultimate shoe for the dark academia vibe we’re going for with this outfit. I bought these from ASOS several years ago, but you can find similar styles here!
Knee-High Black Tights: These tights are just what this outfit needed! They can really spice up an outfit, and they’re 100% dark academia. Maybe also giving sexy vampire? I mean, if I were an immortal vampire, I would definitely stalk the libraries in this fit! I truly do not remember where I found these tights, but you can find similar tights here.
