Mixing & Matching: The Easiest Way to Make Your Outfits More Interesting

Styling your clothes in new ways is all about mixing and matching. Being playful is the key! This soft grunge outfit is the perfect example of that, so let’s get into it.

A grunge girl loves her sheer shirts, and this look is no different! In order to find this fit, I mixed and matched different tops I had in my closet. Then, I came upon this black and white gingham bra top and together the answer was an absolute yes!

What I have in my closet might not work perfectly with the clothes you have in yours, but the great thing is that you can emulate this with your own. And you might even find different pieces that look even better together!

Once I had my top layers situated, I knew I wanted my ripped jean shorts. It gives it a little bit more of that edginess or rebellious feel that I love in an outfit. I then ran with knee-high black tights and my chunky Oxfords.

It’s a mixed and matched eclectic vibe, but that’s what makes it so unique and interesting. Why stay within the confines of one aesthetic? This is your sign to give yourself permission to play!
