I live for outfits like this. Why? Because they’re a bit unexpected. This edgy and romantic outfit started out as questionable but quickly turned into a love!
For starters, mixing romantic and edgy is the soft grunge sweet spot. It’s the bread and butter of feeling sexy yet strong. And that’s how I want to feel most of the time!
The bottom half of this cool-girl look is the part that’s giving off romantic vibes. This black tiered midi skirt is a whole mood on its own, but it plays off so well combined with the knee-high boots I’m wearing.
The top half is where the edginess comes in. I’ve got a classic band t-shirt on, Blondie, to be exact, and a mustard yellow denim jacket. You’ll also notice I’ve taken my rebel energy to it and gave it more of a punk feel with an array of chains and safety pins! (If you want to know how I did this lmk in the comments!)
The mustard yellow denim jacket was definitely a wild card, but it truly makes a killer outfit and brings it all together. It’s the perfect fit for a grunge babe such as yourself to usher in spring (even though it still kinda feels like winter).
You just never know what kind of combinations you can create, but mixing your band tees with skirts? Forever the grunge girl play!

Black Heeled Knee-High Boots
This pair of boots is a favorite for me. They’re from Steve Madden and they’re super comfortable, too! I had my eye on these for years before purchasing, and my only regret is that I didn’t buy them sooner! Tip: if you’ve got normal calves get the wide leg option (that’s what I have) because the normal is way too skinny.
