I’m screaming, crying, throwing up over this look, for real! Once I put this look together I couldn’t get enough of it, and I hope you feel the same. It made me feel the most confident, so I hope if you try this it has that same effect on you!
First of all, did you know this dress is a maxi dress? Believe it or not, it’s a run of the mill dress I got from Target a few years ago. But it absolutely slays because I shorted it (without actually altering the dress) and I added a belt and lace top underneath.
How did I shorten it, you ask?
Shortening this dress for the ultimate dark feminine look is curtesy of this waist belt. Once I added the belt to my maxi dress, I pulled the dress up on the sides and tucked them in to the belt.
What I got is this ultra unique and sexy dark feminine look that is both edgy and chic. The best part is that you can play with the length and fit if you have a waist belt like this! You could adjust only one side of your dress, for example, or make the hem a little bit shorter or longer.
