The piece that stands out to me most about this outfit is the silk scarf that’s giving tie! Oh, how I love giving accessories new jobs! I took this fun little satin scarf, rolled it up, and tied it around and under the collar of this flannel. Then, I just let it lay as if it were a short tie. Instant love!
The other element of this outfit I’m loving is the oversize look of the flannel shacket over the pleated mini skort. Sometimes an outfit calls for a more fitted appearance, but that is not the case here. The loose fit is a whole vibe that screams grunge!
I’m also wearing my fleece tights to keep me warm when I’m out in the frigid temps right now. And trust me, they WORK. I can’t believe I waited so long to get them but honestly, they keep me warmer than if I were wearing pants. It’s a win-win!
This look wouldn’t be complete about my new favorite pair of combat boots. They’re a rich dark brown, with a zipper, AND a platform! Truly the crème de la crème of boots.
