Halter Tops Year Round? It’s Not Just a Summer Fling

Yes, I said it. Halter tops are a year round article of clothing! So leave your summer clothes out this year, and try something new! I’m not a big fan of seasonal wardrobes, where you know, you pack each season away until it comes around again. There are too many things we can do with an all-season wardrobe, and I’m here to explain how and why.

Take this halter top for example. It’s a great top in the summer. It’s cute, fun, and stylish all on its own. And well, it has to be on its own because the heat prevents you from adding anything to it. But in the colder months? The world’s your oyster! I decided to try adding it on top of this white button-down shirt, and I was sold! These two pieces go great together, and I’m a big fan of the look, the textures, and the overall vibe they bring together.

If I had packed this summer top away, I wouldn’t have styled these two pieces together and I would’ve missed out on a super cool outfit! If you haven’t noticed yet, having staples such as button-down shirts are the perfect thing to have in your closet if you want to layer! And let me tell you, layering is not only all the rage, but a MUST in the fall and winter.

So don’t be afraid to take out your favorite halter top and layer it over another shirt or dress or other fun item! You never know what you can come up with. Happy styling!

Outfit Details? I’m On It

Brown Halter Top: Chances are you’ve already got a great halter top. It’s been the top (and talk!) of the summer! In case you haven’t or you don’t have one like the one I’m wearing, I’ve gathered some great options for your halter top needs!

White Button-Down: Need I say more about how essential a good button-down shirt is? So versatile for the everyday and the office and the going out! Put it in your cart, be thrilled, and be able to move on to bigger and better things (like creating super cute and grungy outfits). Mine is thrifted (because ofc) but originally from Uniqlo.

Light Wash Baggy Ripped Jeans: This pair of jeans is my absolute favorite. They’re my go-to and sort of like my comfort pants. And personally, I think everyone needs a pair of great jeans. Or two, or three! You can find similar style jeans on my LTK.

Black Combat Boots: Every pair of ripped jeans needs a combat boot to go with it. I didn’t make the rules! There’s a good chance if you catch me out and about I’ll be wearing combat boots, so consider them another grungy wardrobe staple. If you’re in the market for a new pair, I’ve got several selected!

Black Glasses: While these are my prescription glasses, I often get asked where I got them when I’m out and about. I’m a huge fan of statement glasses, and these are everything I needed and more! These frames are Saskia from TIJN, where I’ve gotten my glasses from for the past several years. If you’re looking for unique frames, I highly recommend!
