Alt girl autumn is here, and that means the beanies, tights, and *gasp* the cardigans, too! Cardigans are not associated with grunge and alt style as much as they’re linked to the clean girl aesthetic. I’ve never quite been a cardigan lover myself, but that has all changed! Well, changed for a great cardigan like the one I’m wearing!
Here’s where it gets tricky. Yes, I’m a grunge girl, but I’m also a secret swiftie. Maybe not so much secret now that I’ve blasted it here. You heard it here first, folks! I’m a swiftie. And this cardigan? Taylor Swift merch. The Life of a Showgirl merch to be exact! Regardless of whether you’re a swiftie or not, you cannot deny the undeniable greatness of this cardigan.
Let’s review its many wonderful qualities. It’s oversized, which is a grunge girl staple. It’s the PERFECT color for fall. Burnt orange for fall? Revolutionary, I know, but sign me up! The knitting and quality of the cardigan is top-tier. Plus, it’s got embroidered stars, like all of Taylor Swift’s cardigans have. You’ll have no problem turning your edgy fit into an alt girl autumn masterpiece!

Burnt Orange Cardigan: While I’ve likely already bored you with my ranting and raving about this great cardigan and how it’s a statement piece for the grunge girlies, I couldn’t possibly stop my ranting and raving. It’s too good! Ranting and raving is second nature when it comes to such an autumn staple. Black Turtleneck Crop Top: Thought I’d leave crop tops in the summer? Think again. Crop tops follow me wherever I go, and yes, that means even in the fall and winter. The key is a crop top which is also a turtleneck. Turtlenecks are a must-have for winter fashion, and with winter quickly approaching, you might want to stock up!
Black Pleated Skort: I’m a bit fan of skorts, mostly because they don’t make me feel inhibited by my outfit. I can still do everything I’d do in shorts, and that’s a liberating feeling! If you’re looking for a great skort to wear that doesn’t look like one, I’ve shared some great styles on my LTK!
Black Knee-High Tights: You can easily turn an outfit into an edgy or alt look with a great pair of tights! These are no different, and frankly, I’m obsessed. I love pairing knee-high tights with a mini skirt or or skort, and it’s a tried and true fit for a reason! Black Chunky Loafers: Loafers? Chunky? Need I say more? These shoes speak for themselves, and are one of my favorites. Loafers scream fall fashion, so you’ll really be upping your autumn outfit game with a cardigan AND loafers! It’s a recipe for success in my book.
